Cicada Kabini is located in a village called Karapura, 220 kms away from Bangalore, near the Rajiv Gandhi National Park and is adjacent to the Kabini River Lodge property. Cicada Kabini resort is strategically located on the banks of the magnificent Kabini River and serves as a wonderful gallery for viewing wildlife.

The Kabini River runs between Bandipur and Nagarahole, two of the richest National Parks at the foothills of the Western Ghats in Southern India. These forests cover around 1500 sq. km (580 sq. miles) and are a mix of tropical moist and dry deciduous types.

The region around Kabini river supports tree species like Teak, Mathi, Dindla, Sandalwood, Rosewood and many more along with bamboo and other grasses.

The fauna boasts more than 300 species of birds, including the endemic Malabar Trogon and Malabar Pied Hornbill, the Crested Hawk-eagle as well as an impressive assemblage of herbivores like the Asiatic Elephant, the Gaur (Indian Bison) and the Sambar. Which results in a high density of prey in this region.

This in turn, supports a large and thriving population of predators like the Tiger (incidentally, the Nagarahole region is said to have the highest density of Tigers in India), the Leopard and the Indian Wild Dog.

The backwaters of the Kabini reservoir are now an important perennial water source where one can witness the largest and most spectacular congregations of Asiatic Elephants during peak summers.

Conference Hall: Open from 9.00 am to 7.00 pm, has a Seating Capacity of 50 pax.
Facilities provided: Air-conditioned Hall, LCD TV, Projector Screen, Flip Chart, White Board, Writing pads with pencils, Cordless collar and hand mikes, DVD player, PC connectivity, DTH, Tea / coffee / cookies will be served twice a day.

Wildlife Library: Visitors who would like to better acquaint themselves with the jungles and the delicate eco-system would find this centre a treasure-trove of information. A good collection of wildlife books is stocked along with puzzles & board games for the kids, and many interesting wildlife films and documentaries. Flames (Restaurant): A delectable buffet spread of vegetarian and non-vegetarian food:
- Breakfast is a combination of Continental and Indian varieties
- Lunch and Dinner is Indian cuisine
- Excellent options even in the vegetarian fare
- Food that tastes as good as home cooked food
- Food can be made non-spicy for visiting foreigners on special request
- Special Kids’ menu comprising of food that is non-spicy and exciting for children is available from 6.30 pm onwards

Swimming Pool: Offers a magnificent view of the Kabini River and is open from 5.00 am to 11.00 pm with 2 changing rooms
Pool Dimensions:
- Big Pool: 30 feet x 70 feet in size. Depth of the pool varies from 4 feet 6 inches on one end and goes down to 6 feet at the other end
- Children's pool: 12 feet x 12 feet with a depth of 2 feet

Gym: Open from 5.00 am to 11.00 pm is equipped with Multi-gym, Weights, Upright Cycle, Treadmill.

CANCELLATION POLICY
Reservations are confirmed on receipt of 100% payment. All payments will have to be made in favour of company WILDERNESS RESORTS Pvt. Ltd. payable at Bangalore.
Cancellation of confirmed bookings will be treated as follows:
• No refund if cancellation is effected within 10 days prior to the check-in date
• 70% refund will be issued if cancellation is effected between 11 and 15 days prior to the check-in date
• 85% refund will be issued for all cancellations effected beyond 16 days prior to the check-in date
The company may at its discretion and without liability or cost to itself at any time cancel or terminate a guest's booking in the event of incompatible behavior of the guest who shall, under such circumstances, not be entitled to any refund. The person making any booking will thereby warrant that he or she has authority to enter into a contract with the company on behalf of all people included in the booking.

The mode of refund (if any) will be as follows:
• For payments made by Credit Cards, company will issue a Credit Note via a Credit Slip
• For payments made by any other mode, company will issue an Account Payee Cheque within 30 days of receipt of written cancellation request
• No interest will be payable for such amounts refunded


TERMS AND CONDITIONS
• Reservations are confirmed on receipt of 100% payment. All payments will have to be made in favour of company WILDERNESS RESORTS Pvt. Ltd. payable at Bangalore.
• Guests are requested to produce the Booking Confirmation Voucher (Email) at the time of Check-In at the Resort. Failing to do so may delay your check in process
• Check-in: 12 noon & Check-out: 11 a.m - strict adherence solicited
• Room plan starts with lunch on check-in day and ends with breakfast on check-out day. Food served buffet style, includes lunch, dinner and breakfast
• All activities, Services and meals outside the Room Plan will be charged extra at the Resort. Payment will have to be made at the time of check-out
• Safaris (by jeep) are optional and will be charged Rs.750 per person per trip OR Rs.250 per person per trip if taken in the Forest Department Vehicle
• Safaris (by jeep) are subject to permission from the Karnataka Forest Department and the availability of vehicles/boats, seats, naturalists/guides. Please note that we do not guarantee safaris as they are primarily governed and controlled by the Forest Department and are subject to change from time to time. We shall not be held responsible for last minute cancellations if the Forest Department cancels the same. Limited seats available for safaris (as per government orders). Guests will be taken on safaris on first-come-first-served basis. Please contact the General Manager on arrival to register for Safaris
• No alcoholic beverages brought by the guests can be consumed in public area
• Pets are not allowed in the Resort
• Elephant rides are not available during evening safaris
• Coracle (country boats) rides are not allowed
• Babysitters and maids accompanying guests to take care of their children will be charged the standard rates applicable for adults, and are requested to always present themselves suitably groomed within the Retreat premises, especially in the dining area
• Accompanying drivers can avail of our dormitory facilities at Rs.100/- per driver per night inclusive of limited meals
